A fuel cock is a relatively simple part of the fuel system, but pollution can also provide starting problems here. Through long stoppage, or other causes the fuel can harden and block the valve. Loosen and clean with eg acetone can be a solution, but when the fuel valve so dirty or worn that cleaning does not work any more, replacement is the only solution.
